The shoes manufacturers will encourage you to rinse and spin the shoes dry in the washing machine so that you will visit them frequently to buy new shoes. ;)

yes, i put my sneakers/tennis in the washing machine on heavy duty - wash and spin. outcome - boleh tahan because i only wash them when they are super super duper "black" - ngm keen tak yan that kind of "black".
