So hot! Cut hair!

Today is the mood for cutting hair. Not my hair. The kids' hair. All 3 of them

It wasn't my intention to cut short meimei's long hair, as I like to see her in 2 pony tails tied up on her head as high as possible. But the recent hot weather had shown some effects, as I saw the back of her head below the hairline was red with spots. Though it is pretty harmless, as I know it's just the heat, but nevertheless, like normal mothers, I still feel sum-toong seeing it.

So, on quite an impromptu moment, we came home from school and after bathing, I can't tahan and snip snip snip away. It's like 4 to 5 inches off the length, and I thought she looks darn cute in the new look. I wanted to try styling the Victoria Beckham's bob at first, but I dared not try too hard. I thought she looks even more like a doll right now. So cuddly and lovable.

After her nap, I thought it needs more rework, and I began snipping again. She asked me why, I said to make her look even better. And oh, before I cut it away, I did ask her if she's ok with really really short hair. She nodded in excitement and said confidently "YES", adding "I want to look like you".. aww... heart melted.

After rework, gosh! I really have to pat myself on the back for doing such a great job! Not easy, you know? To someone who's always keep moving. And since while I was at it, I told the boys to sit on the chair one after another to trim it down as well. So, it was a cutting hair day.

Just last week, I had a surprise when I went over to pick them up from their kindy. I saw the kindy's new banner and meimei was on it! I couldn't believe my eyes and I had to stare for a good few minutes to see clearly. This time they didn't call to ask for my permission like the last time. I suppose they thought I would be ok with it kua. When I told papa, he said "huh? mah have to go and "steal" banner again loh?" LOL.

I feel happy to see them when I pick them up everyday. After a quiet morning, either doing my chores in peace, or having a breakfast alone, or stealing more naptimes, I really look forward to see their bubbly and cheerful faces.

Today, meimei told me she has a plan in mind for tomorrow. She said "papa, koko, didi and I are going to hide somewhere when we wake up, then when you come out, we are going to jump out and surprise you and say "Happy Birthday"!" I said "huh? now that you told me, it's not a surprise anymore loh?". I guess it didn't matter for her. haha.. so, tomorrow I'm gonna have to "act surprise".

Oh, yeah, it's my birthday again. We are going to "hoi fong" somewhere in KL, just to "try" making a normal day a little bit "out of the norm". But I wonder, not-earlier-not-later, must be one day before our plan, KL declares its first H1N1 case. Is that a sign or an omen ah? Ish! choi! choi! choi!
