Shots from weekend balik kampong
Had a good time snapping away last weekend. Went back to kampung. It's nice checking out some very very nearby tiny little temples hidden in the caves near my inlaws'. We bet they don't even know these quiet places for prayers existed.
Almost missed this sleeping Buddha engraved in the hidden rocks. I thought it looks awesome.
The kids had fun running, climbing, swinging, playing in the small pathetic little playground. Initially wanted to take them to pologround but time was too short and we had to settle for something very nearby to get home in time for dinner with whole family. Nevertheless, they didn't notice the difference, I believe. Who cares!
But I really did have a great time snapping away. It's always nice to take pictures outdoors when the sky is bright and when the kids donning their happy faces. Don't even need to coax them to smile for me. And I caught the sunset in my shots, what a pretty sight, though it might not be as majestic as can be. But oh no! That means we were running very very late for dinner! Waited for 1 hour plus for dinner to be served to all our growling tummies. The salty egg crabs were fabulous..
Most importantly, we were back for me to accompany my papa's to the clinic for checkup. He was obviously very happy to see us home and had me around as company. Poor chap, feeling lonely and depressed when something didn't go quite well in him. It's a great relief everything is ok after all. I bought a fruit cake and we sang birthday song for him. It turned out to be a great home-run!
