What a day.

Today is a day of mixed feelings.

It began with a grumpy me who hadn't have enough sleep from a late-for-bed the night before, all because of a worthless little disagreement with the unreasonable man of the house. I'll get to that part later, maybe.

So happened, as most Fridays, we set off to our normal routine work in separate cars. I first drop off the younger two in the kindy, and on the way, as I was still a little fumed, decided to skip breakfast with him later, so I called a friend to invite her for breakfast. And thus, I stopped by midway enroute and spent about 45 mins eating and chatting over breakfast.

When I was done, it's back driving to the office, and almost reaching, I was stuck in a massive jam. Dammit, I called him and yelled over the phone on why he didn't warn me earlier, which I can then avoid that road and used another road. He retorted why I didn't ask him! See how unreasonable he is?

And that was about 30 mins in the traffic crawl, and the traffic alert on radio was warning road users about it due to a terrible accident. It's not fun to be sitting in the car, feeling trapped front and back, left and right. Why can't there be moveable dividers at intervals of the highway to let the cars make a U-turn and take another route when these thing happens? I really wished I can just push a button to make my car "jump" over the divider and speed off in the other direction! This is the side effect of entrapment, wild imaginations began to visualize.

Later, some police on bike and cars were "bee-boo-bee-boo" weaving from behind. Then came the siren again, this time the bomba. Then came another siren, the ambulance. And another 5 mins later, 1 more ambulance. Wah.. hampalang came. I was surely curious how ugly the accident can be.

When I passed by, I really had the urge to stop at the roadside together with many others to kehpoh. And yet, I was also very afraid to see what I might see. Eeyer.. nanti I can't sleep for weeks or months, how? So, I chicken-ed out and drove past, went dutifully to report to work.

The whole office were talking about the accident already and how far the jam stretched until, and one guy came back telling about how it happened. After all the information digested, I felt the kind of chill in my head, thinking, well you should guess why already.

I don't know, if I hadn't stopped by halfway to have breakfast with my friend, I might just be the one passing by that fatal spot when it happened. It's really about that timing where we would pass by everyday. In any case, most of us at the office used that road everyday at about that same time too. Lucky we are all in one piece and escaped death. And how eerie, today's the start of Hungry Ghost Festival too, I heard. I think I heard somewhere before, there are more obituaries during this time of the year every year. Aiks!

So, I realized, it's back to that old age reminder of how we should seize the day everyday and appreciate those whom we love dearly when they are still around. Ironically, don't most of us just open our eyes and tell ourselves just that everytime something like this brushes by and reminds us to, but only to fade away again sooner than we expected?

Anyway, apart from letting the fire of despise go, I told myself I'm going to pray a bit tonight too, remembering to thank God for letting me hang around here a little while longer and enjoy my time with my children.

And also apart the feeling of gratitude, I thought to myself, we should be working on ideas or things we wanted to do, instead of delaying, procrastinating, postponing... (even the thing might not be be something everyone approves of?), just seize the day!

I said it's a day of mixed feelings, right? So, this is not the end. I browsed around the news the whole morning (no mood to work, friday mah). There, the funniest story ever about Malaysia products, I don't even know to laugh or cry, neh, the one about RM500 computers and such. The names they came up with to name their babies, can't they even be more professional about it? How much more mockery they want to come up with?

And yes, the word that hit me most... the target market... HOUSEWIVES!!! Cilaka! How gigantic huge their man's ego can be? I knew one of the bloggers will mention it, and truly, she had written exactly the feelings that came over me when I was reading that piece of junk, except of course, more witty and cleverly. Somehow, it seemed like it's an April Fool's joke, but isn't April 1 long over? Seem to be getting hopeless our bolehland, I want to migrate and join goolypop in her not so faraway land, at least her entertainment really funny, can die laughing.

On the news today, apart from this overdue April Fool's joke, another case of rape was reported. Reading that, it reminds me of that movie "I Am Legend". This seems to be what will happen when night falls in KL. Of course, daytime robberies still occur, just like what happened to me sometime ago, but night time, even worse. Chances of abduction and raped if you are a lady roaming on KL streets after sunset and before sunrise seems to be darn high.

So, what wraps up the day? A turbulent day of mix feelings? On one hand, alleluia, on the other, what a big sigh...

Juicy scandals.

I'm getting chee-sin already. Not one who cares about what goes on in celebrities' personal lives, suddenly I found myself chasing after some stories of bloggers' scandals. All because of a post. All because of curiosity... hehe..

You know what's the hot scandal on the internet's blogosphere now? *wink* *wink*

I think ah (as though what I think matters, duh!), guy's young, guy's hot, what is wrong there to carefully select his life-long partner. As for the 2 girls who fight over him.... no advice. This is life. This is youth. This, shall past too. And after which, we grow more matured. If not, then take care.

Cheh! None of my business too la. Akcherly, I have nothing to post, more of rants, but I prefer not to rant here, thus all these nonsense to take my mind away from my unhappiness stuffs. And hehe.. I'm happier now, after all the keh-poh-ing around. Gila. Enough.

Yummy

Nothing better a medicine to cure the blues than yummy-licious indulge in sinfully fried food.

Even when not in the blues, it's too hard to resist the temptation. Drooling yet?

Sure more pimples popping over to say hi.

Toothless witch.

That's how my friend, Fishman addressed me that day on msn. Nice. I like.

Yesterday, I gave my son 1 buck to buy an exercise book. His teacher warned them whoever doesn't have a new exercise book no.2 will get 5 beatings on his hand. Talk about who's the witch. I'm not sure if she is toothless or not.

The book costs only 60 cents, as such, I told him he should give me back the change later after school. He knows I mean business, can't simply claim the change is his.

School ended, the first thing he told me "this boy buy book together with me, then he forgot to take his book, then he take my book said it's his, then I go to the book shop to ask to take back the book, but the uncle said, cannot, take already, cannot take another one away, then I have no more 60 cents, then only my good friend (the one who betrayed him before) lent him 20 cents and I buy another one for myself, so no change for you". Sounds fishy? I think so, but nah.. trust him this time.

He didn't make it so clear the first time, oh dear, the way he talked, I am getting really worried. I have to ask him questions step by step understanding the whole process, only the whole picture began to emerge.

Anyhow, I don't quite have good feelings about it. Sounds like a school bully to me, and gangsterism manners there. How can the boy just take away the book my son was holding claiming it's his? How can the blardy uncle at the book shop not settling things right for these kids? It seemed to me like he's taking advantage of their size and age. Hmm..

Then again, it's not a big deal to bring up to the headmistress and I shall let it to rest. Else, I'm going to don on my "toothless witch" costume (I sewed it overnight, plastic material, very flexible one) and teach some goody lessons to the boy and the uncle.

Farewell dinner to my tooth.

The Last supper.

This soup is really tasty. Much better than the normal sharkfin soup you find in any 8 course. A piece of abalone lying in waiting somewhere below the little bowl. Yum yum.

My relatives who came from Ipoh. I do not know both the newly wed couple. The bride is my mom's mom's sister's son's daughter. Complicated yet? I went there for the food only.

So, thanks all for the kind eulogies. I didn't pull the tooth out on Monday though. Bought another 24 hours time to "ding king".

I was finally there to face the ordeal last evening. Actually it's not really that painful, but the drilling sound is really unbearable, as though it's not enough to have two hands playing around inside my mouth. Before he started on the job, I told him to ensure I am properly sedated on that area before he yank it out. I think he must have said it too often, that I shall not worry much.

OK, so, after one hour of "man at work", 8 teeth were "repaired", and it was time for that moment. My whole mouth was numbed and it just didn't feel like mine anyway. I had to say it before he start. "Don't you pull the wrong tooth out, ok?"

A word of advice, if you need to go through the same thing, don't you ever go to a little petite lady for the job. Basically, he pulled a big spanner out and korek and tug until the tooth is out. Someone who's not strong enough, I think it would take 1 hour, and it would be like 1 year for you. Whew! It was out and eewww.. the tooth looked gross. I thought of showing it all to you, but for once, I really wouldn't want to spoil your appetite.

It's good to have it out, looking at the condition of the failed tooth. Can't imagine I was licking and sucking it for all these years.

Surprisingly, my cheek wasn't swollen at all, and in fact, I just looked normal. Speech talk wasn't very appropriate for the time being only while food, err.., I don't feel like the teeth are mine somehow. So, I ate very little for dinner and went to make a cup of Anlene milk before I sleep.

I'm real happy that it's over now. Really, it's not that bad after all, and I would encourage you to do it too. :)

I'm so not looking forward to Monday.

That's because I'm going to extract my molar tooth out. Oh no! Tell me it's not going to happen, please!

Apart from that, I'm also repairing some 5 teeth as I cringed when the dentist wickedly spray air into my gums, proving his point. Shit! He really knows how to earn big money big time. Not only I am going to lose my big tooth, I'm going to part about few hundred with him on Monday too. Sob! Sob!

Anyway, this dying tooth of mine is a time bomb. Anytime shall give me a very severe toothache and I would be begging my hubby to just yank it out from me to spare me the pain. So, might as well get it done and over with, right? No use crying over spilled milk now. It could have been saved if I had been courageous enough to operate my leaning wisdom tooth out earlier.

So, I was in agony and despair after the visit to the dentist and was telling my good friend, Fishman, online that I am going to die on Monday. Being such a good friend, he, in return, told me about his endless woes of his decaying teeth too, and oh well, I was feeling better at the end of the day already. Thank you so much, my dear friend. Now I know all your teeth are fake! Haha!

I think I'm going to miss "digging" into that big gap of that tooth with my tongue after Monday's gone. What will be left will be a much bigger hole. Jeez.. I can't imagine a toothless me, is this the beginning of more toothless years also? And also ah, how am I going to chew on my right side? Do I need to push all the food to the left everytime I eat? Oh well, I will adjust and adapt to it soon, I'm sure.In the meantime, do send your eulogy, just in case..

Blah blah blah... me!

Anyone can decipher the code and tell me what she's saying?
I give my car away if you can do that.

Thoughts while driving

Yesterday, I drove to a less-travelled route to have lunch, just so to find that perfect fish ball that suits my palette.  In doing so, I p...
