And we were on the way back from school, in the car. I asked meimei about school, she answered the standard answer "fine".
"So what was it all about this morning when I see all the children going to the hall?"
"We played some games, then the stayback children did the drama"
"Oh, you were in a drama?"
"NO laaa.. only the stayback children, I said !!!" *in an irritated tone*
"Okkiee.. so what was the drama all about, anyway?"
"I don't know laa, you always ask, ask, ask... I give up already" *more irritated*
Stifling giggles, I probed further what games she played.
She then proceeded to tell me it was a ball-passing game. Then whoever pass the ball the fastest wins!
So I played stupid and asked "oh oh! So I stand next to you and pass the ball to you and then I win?"
"TSK!! (what la you?!) Noooo.. Like this, I stand here and my friend stand here (thumb and index finger apart) and I pass to her, stand very far one.."
"OH. ok. So did you win?"
"No la. The 5yos win."
"WHAT?? You guys 6yos lost to 5yos?"
"*major* TSK!! NO LA. ONE TIME ONLY WUDDD... "*highly irritated*
I must say, I like the irritated looks on her face. Really fun to kacau her like that.

My Friday favorite time of the week
Long ago, I used to look forward to every Friday 5.30pm. I would rush to prepare dinner and settle all that was needed to be done before 4....

I have a friend over for a visit last week. "OK, my darling, shall we go home now?.... let mommy take you off the swing, good boy"...

omg, OMG, OH MY GRACIOUS GOD!! I'm so panicky now I don't know what to do! I've been tagged! My very first virgin "tag...

What goes around, really really comes around. Just barely 24 hours after I blogged about the dropped teeth of my son's, I suddenly found...

gosh... so familiar scenerio... ie. me and my girl.. until today also same.. asked her how school is, she said okay..., anything happened? nothing... and that is it! what else to say..hahaha...
Careful, next time she doesn't even want to talk to you, then baru you know! :p
claire,
i guess you need to kacau her more la. keep asking until she's irritated, like my child! heh!
mun,
mm wui geh... (turn self denial button ON)
wah, so small have attitude already!! wish i could talk like mei mei did with my parents when they came pick me up from school...if i did, a few tight slaps is what i would get in return.
I found that the closer the kid to you the less patience the kid has. Weird...This happen to most of the kids I know too. They get irritated very fast if you don't understand what they are trying to tell you. Sigh!
dawn,
shud i just slap her then? (i would be arrested for that these days)
jennifer,
usually it's me who don't have the patience so it's good to have the role reversed for a time being.
