Parent teacher meeting and a sale.

It's a very good practice to hold a parent teacher meeting for preschoolers. After paying more than what could be for a tertiary education, it's only quite an expectation from the parents that they provide more than just a daily half a day of playtime.

Reviews from the teachers of both are overall good. I do feel very proud to hear them praising of how smart they are (though I wonder if they say the same things to every parent?!).

For little A, his behavior has improved since the last meeting with his teacher. Boy! Imagine my sense of anxiety when she asked if I would consider letting him see a child psychologist. He is still very active and playful, but at least he's not creating trouble when not provoked. He could be quite violent when he's too carried away though, and the teacher had to separate him from others to calm him down. Anything to worry about, seriously?

I feel happy to hear that he does initiate to do things and think of solutions when he runs into obstacles. Academically, he's showing good progress though he seems to be not paying attention when the teacher is talking. I guess apart from this complaint, the other complaint is that he makes a lot of hissing sound which annoys the teacher... Haiz..where is the hole to hide my face when I need it ah...

As for the little girl, her teacher reports that she shows a big improvement in these 6 months. But there wasn't anything the teacher wasn't satisfied with her. I was told she's very happy in school from the first day, there's wasn't a day she had shown anger or temper, even though her friends might have annoy her in any way. That's funny, right? When she doesn't behave like this at home. Kids sure love to give their mom a tough time.

After lingering in the school for the morning, we went to MVM, first for groceries shopping, then for hi tea in Boulevard Hotel. I was there for some food testing for the sake of my high school friends gathering in Dec. Food was average, but the ambience is really comfortable. We were very leisurely eating and letting the children run loose around.

And what do you know? Metrojaya had a "Branded Sale" in the exhibition halls in MVM, it was pasar malam styled and very tempting to part with our money for the things on sale there. If it wasn't for the children tagging along, we would have spent more time shopping in there, at least I would. We bought home a purse and wallet (his and mine), a bag (another one again!), a voracious looking dragon and its slayer (Little A succeeded in begging his papa), a helicopter (for banker though he insists it's for the kids), 2 little T's for the girl and a mattress protector, all for the price of 300+. Happy happy.

We reached home at 6, out from morning breakfast and at 7, we went out again for dinner at Cheras, claypot chicken rice. I knew the kids were very tired as they had skipped afternoon naps and walked the whole day, and before they get cranky, they should be fed and tugged to beds as soon as possible.

After which, though sleepy and tired myself, I can't help putting on a dvd for Sat night movie, "Journey to the Center of the Earth". It was really a fake movie, but let's not question it's logic and that would be quite a fun watch. Nowadays, I rate a movie by seeing if I had fallen asleep halfway. At least this one got my attention from beginning till end.

I was so awake that I put on another movie, "Superhero Movie". Movie marathon, eh? This is indeed a nonsensical imitation of "Spiderman". I can't keep my eyes opened by 1am and had to be continued by the next day.

The day made me so tired that we stayed home after breakfast today and slept through the afternoon. It was a very hot day to be out too.

End of reporting (qiu! Like anyone cares!)

My Friday favorite time of the week

Long ago, I used to look forward to every Friday 5.30pm. I would rush to prepare dinner and settle all that was needed to be done before 4....
