Hands up, those who haven't been to Science Center! The one in KL la, not Singapore Science Center, ok? Don't even know there's one in KL? Don't know where it is? tsk tsk tsk *shake head*
Heheh... caught you again for the 2nd time (probably).
A week before Father's Day, we celebrated Dad's Day by going to Bird Park and Science Center. Both fathers are here (mine and my hubby's la, we only have ONE father each, ok?)
On Sunday, right after breakfast, zoomed we went straight to this nice place. Objections over-ruled. That's how we treat our old folks. hehe..
(My father demonstrating how to hang oneself! Haha...)
The entrance, better than paying for the Aquaria.
Just in time to watch a diver feeding the fishes. Little A was so stunned, he said worriedly "he can't breathe lo?" I suppose the diver could have heard it, he showed him the oxygen mouthpiece through the glass, that was such an eye-opener for him. (Mommy, I want to be a diver when I grow up!)

After the entrance, we were greeted with a little mock-up of a tropical jungle. Have visual and sound effects also. The first time, the children were trembling all over and hang on to us as much as possible. Now they know it's fake, they couldn't be bothered anymore.

The Center has various sections similar to other countries' equivalents. And it consists much of touch and feel experiments for visitors, young and old. Some are just mainly decorative pieces and panels of explanations. That is little bit boring but still, good for killing time and knowing something informative, don't you think so? It's never too old to learn new stuffs, though we could have learned that ages ago and forgotten all about it.
The Jadual Berkala, once THE jadual to know by the tips of our tongues. Now? Don't ask!
I like this... can't elaborate why.
See? This place is a big playground for children, I tell ya. Cheap and air-conditioned. Nowhere else you can find such places in KL. Well, malls might be FOC, but it's so crowded, and stressed out keeping an eye on them. The children enjoy themselves here more.

This is another favorite. It displays the logic of physics very accurately, and never failed to make me lost in its weaving world as the ball goes around.
Science of the future world. This the future bathroom?

The lobby under the big dome. Can you see the vast place to run around? I would have liked to play kong kwan or catching here. Maybe hide and seek could be good..... revisiting childhood games we played.
Wall of Nobel Laureate. Can recognize anyone?
There are many pictures of illusions for your senses. Some are popularly known, like the young and old woman in 1 picture, and many others. Besides, there are many puzzles of bricks and pieces for you to trigger your braincells.
Apart from that, there's also a children's playground for babies and toddlers, a children's section for science exploration (there's a unique congkak there). Do I sound like their salesperson? No la, I'm not being paid to tell and promote this place. Just want to say, it's a good place to be spending time in.
Anyway, for some others, when their mindset is fixed that they are not interested and the place is boring, then it surely is. This the power of the mind. Period. (Who am I talking about? Can't tell la, nanti I kena dicekik before I can even say sorry.. hehe)
(Terrible hoh? Later, *snap snap*, picture up on the internet and blogged about and talked about, by bkworm or some others, then oh dear, I got to find some hole and put my head in it)

You've caught me again. Never been there. :p Can give directions to go there please? How much is entrance fee? How much time to allocate for the exhibits?
Thanks for sharing. Nice that the kids likes the place, fun and educational at the same time! And what a wonderful way to celebrate Father's Day!
