I had a pleasant weekend, so pleasant that I was telling myself "what a nice Monday today is" and more shocking that I held my hubby's hand and tell him I had a very happy weekend and almost saying "thanks for that, my darling"! That will shock him so much that I think he will piss in his pants. No la, don't do that to him, as he has only one miserable slacks to work and he's wearing it when I was saying that to him.
So, what was in the weekend that made me so happy, huh?
The weekend actually started on Friday for me, staying at home, professing tender loving care to my 3 brats. The fragrant aroma of char-siew really made all of us hungry at home, and I waited for the boss to come home to have dinner together. Ala.. he called at 7.30 to tell me his colleague is leaving and they were going to have yum-seng session woh... how upsetting.
So, anyway, he came home after midnight, I was showing him I wasn't the type of person he can bully, and he left me alone to sleep.
By next morning, all was forgotten, and let it be a good day. We went for breakfast, came home and had some rest while I get some ironing done. It felt good that everything was in order. I made some simple lunch and everybody off to bed. By 3pm, his boss called him and asked him if he wants to join him to go climb hill woh.. bugger, see him every Mon to Fri not enough, Sat also want to kidnap my boss away.
But my boss knows the house rules.. he conveniently reported to him during weekends, he has to listen to me! Else, big wok.
So, we did some hanky panky stuffs while the kids slept, and get everyone ready off for dinner outside. Initially, wanted to dine at SF Steakhouse to utilize some unused vouchers, but later, changed our mind. Settled for my favorite Chillis, and it was a very pleasant family time dinner. Hubby especially loved their "Kids eat free" and the bottomless drinks. Yeah, the bill came to RM80 but it stuffed us all full to the brim and the food was delicious, as always.
The next day, hubby had to attend a meeting in the morning and we stayed at home, me making some MLM stuff food supplement drink for breakfast and cooked lunch too. Made the boys do their homework and by the time the 2nd one lost his attention span, I made the eldest boy complete some "tuition" homework (tutor: me). Felt so good to have enlightened him in devising his own Mathematics formula using algebra... treat x as the price of the teddy bear you want to find out and thus, x-9.50=11.95, find the value of x! He must be confused like hell!
We awaited for his guests to arrive for his little party birthday celebration at 4.30 and they were punctual. Gee.. I think they must be pestering their parents to go go go..
It was such a windy day, little A insisted that we all go out and fly kite. Boy! Were they thrilled! This is the kind of city kids that we get. But poor daddy, while trying so hard to make the fly go high up in the sky, he accidentally twisted his ankle and gosh, it must be real painful. He is still limping like Will Smith in "I am legend" when he was walking for his dear life from the scavengers. Funny, why that would remind me of that scene looking at how he walks now.
There were 5 adults and 12 children for the little party and we took them all up to play some indoor games at first. All wet and outdoor plans were taken out from the itinerary as the clouds looked like it was going to pour anytime.
We had a game of passing the ball, all 12 children in a circle. You sure know the game, right? Whoever holds the ball when the music stops have to be penalized. I told the kids they can sing, or dance, or act or play the piano or just do whatever they want. The first boy,7, acted as a little monkey, so cute. The 2nd boy played the piano, yeah, he's good! The 3rd one was my little girl, one of the youngest there and she cried! haha.. that was really cute, she ran over to me and hid her face in my chest and cried like "I'm soooo innocent!!"
With children, a game can't last too long, and soon, I was thinking of introducing another game to them to keep them occupied. But the sky looked like it had cleared up and it was such a good weather to picnic out by the poolside and enjoy the outdoors.
Hence, we all gotong-royong took all the things and stuffs down to the pool gazebo and... the kids can't resist the pool! All were looking so longingly to jump inside, what with the only kid there seemingly to be so happy playing in the water, like saying "i'm having so much fun, you not coming in, what a waste". It broke my heart to disappoint these kids, so I went back up and took clothings and towels for them to change into and gosh! they disappeared into the pool in lightning speed. It was really fun. I had so much fun myself.
We then ate pizza and grilled chicken wings, and sausage and fishball and tidbits, with the flow of drinks and vitagen.. you can imagine.
Then we cleared the table, gathered round and lit up the big Ben 10 cake and sang Happy Birthday song to my son. A small little party like this is always much more pleasant and fun than a big gang of people with only some shallow conversations in between. So much for the day, and that derived such good mood today for me.
In fact, today's his actual day of birth 8 years ago, and for a short moment in time, I looked back at the day he was born and smiled to myself what wonderful gifts God had given me and I thanked Him for that.
As goolypop said, can't wait for next Sunday to come, yeah! How's your weekend been?

Quirky ad
Overheard on the radio today, an ad from a property developer
"Find your dream house", "find your happy ending"...
... wait a min...happy ENDING?? *raised one eyebrow*
Not sure about you, but I would think, however happy it can be, I don't want to find my ending yet right now. Choi! choi! choi!
Good luck to that developer!

Tag: A tribute to my parents

I got this tag from Jo-N sometime ago..
.. write a tribute to my dad in conjunction with Father's Day to be posted on this page and similarly, a tribute to my mom as well for this page.
It took me some time as I thought in length about what I will write for my dad and mom. And I can't find the words to it. It'll also be a pity as they never do know much English, never surf the internet, never uses the computer and I thought it will be weird for me if I declare how much I love them over here while they are in the absolute darkness about it. This just goes for me la, ok, not to piss some of you who think otherwise.
Even then, if I profess how much I love them in their face, it wouldn't be as much meaning as to really finding the time to spend with them.
In fact, I hereby admit I have very much failed in my role as a daughter, much more so as a daughter-in-law. That's because my dad, in his 60's and not spending his rest of his later half of his life as he should be, happily, without stress, with his darling (my mom la, of course), and his children and grandchildren. I am so sorry, I really cry everytime when he tells me he feels bored when he's back home and the home is empty, and how much we knew a home is not a home without our loved ones, don't we? *sob* *sob* (excuse me while I take a tissue and blow my nose first... pfftttt....) *
.... and with and my *ahem* beloved parents-in-law... I am so sorry that I am not the daughter-in-law that you wanted, the kind of wife you want for your son.
Hey, this is easier than I thought. Writing confessions much easier than writing tributes. And I feel so much better after dumping it all out. Sorry for the diversion of traffic.
Anyway, thanks for reading. Please leave me comments that I am a good daughter and considerably nice daughter-in-law too, though not perfect and tell me the usual not to blame myself, yeah? I won't mind hearing some compliments or two as well.. :D
Else, I might go into serious depression mode and pretty bad side effects hoh?

Glimpses of Science Center, KL
Hands up, those who haven't been to Science Center! The one in KL la, not Singapore Science Center, ok? Don't even know there's one in KL? Don't know where it is? tsk tsk tsk *shake head*
Heheh... caught you again for the 2nd time (probably).
A week before Father's Day, we celebrated Dad's Day by going to Bird Park and Science Center. Both fathers are here (mine and my hubby's la, we only have ONE father each, ok?)
On Sunday, right after breakfast, zoomed we went straight to this nice place. Objections over-ruled. That's how we treat our old folks. hehe..
Just in time to watch a diver feeding the fishes. Little A was so stunned, he said worriedly "he can't breathe lo?" I suppose the diver could have heard it, he showed him the oxygen mouthpiece through the glass, that was such an eye-opener for him. (Mommy, I want to be a diver when I grow up!)
After the entrance, we were greeted with a little mock-up of a tropical jungle. Have visual and sound effects also. The first time, the children were trembling all over and hang on to us as much as possible. Now they know it's fake, they couldn't be bothered anymore.
The Center has various sections similar to other countries' equivalents. And it consists much of touch and feel experiments for visitors, young and old. Some are just mainly decorative pieces and panels of explanations. That is little bit boring but still, good for killing time and knowing something informative, don't you think so? It's never too old to learn new stuffs, though we could have learned that ages ago and forgotten all about it.

This is another favorite. It displays the logic of physics very accurately, and never failed to make me lost in its weaving world as the ball goes around.
The lobby under the big dome. Can you see the vast place to run around? I would have liked to play kong kwan or catching here. Maybe hide and seek could be good..... revisiting childhood games we played.
There are many pictures of illusions for your senses. Some are popularly known, like the young and old woman in 1 picture, and many others. Besides, there are many puzzles of bricks and pieces for you to trigger your braincells.
Apart from that, there's also a children's playground for babies and toddlers, a children's section for science exploration (there's a unique congkak there). Do I sound like their salesperson? No la, I'm not being paid to tell and promote this place. Just want to say, it's a good place to be spending time in.
Anyway, for some others, when their mindset is fixed that they are not interested and the place is boring, then it surely is. This the power of the mind. Period. (Who am I talking about? Can't tell la, nanti I kena dicekik before I can even say sorry.. hehe)

See? This place is a big playground for children, I tell ya. Cheap and air-conditioned. Nowhere else you can find such places in KL. Well, malls might be FOC, but it's so crowded, and stressed out keeping an eye on them. The children enjoy themselves here more.

Wet dreams.
Woke up this morning, came out and saw my eldest son's pants on the floor. First thought that came in mind was "wet his bed AGAIN?"
Later my mom told me, she thought so too, so she asked him "You wet your bed again ah?".
He said "No-la, just a little bit only", she asked him how he knows then, he said "I have "kan-juey" (deng deng deng!!! eyebrows raised now!)
She took a look at it, touched a bit and yeah, confirmed he's telling the truth. And it was also like.. you know.
She asked me "So young can have wet dreams ah?"
I rolled my eyes wondering aloud myself too "How I know ah? Hmm...wonder what goes on in their little minds when they have wet dreams ah?"
hehe.. my boy, my boy.. wonder if it's his first wet dream! Seriously, I really do not know if boys at this young age do have... you know? Do you know?

I'm a very good heartbreaker
Today I broke 2 girls' hearts terribly.
You know very well how awful good I am right now at sniffing out freebies, thanks to my partner in crime.
I was at a beauty salon having another one of those FOC facial thingy, and from the very moment the session started, the girl was heavily promoting some basic skincare product to me. Too familiar with the drill by now, listening to all the problems I am facing with my face, which I might not even realize, and she has THE all time powderful solution for me.
Sometimes I am just amazed, she could tell by one look that I have dead skin cells stuck on my face, pores blocked like a very badly maintained toilet bowl and what nots, by just ONE look? Boy, she could be sending those dermatologists home and rot, why spend all those money studying and getting their degrees, huh?
Anyway, I'm not really dissing her la, life's tough, I know, she's just trying to earn some income to survive in this dog eats dog world.
So, for the whole of 2 hours, I was nodding, smiling, respectfully asking for more details, gracefully rejecting... sorry la, girl, life's hard. Hear the gomen's advice? Need to change lifestyle, tighten belt, know what that is? Ketatkan tali pinggang la.. not a necessity to spend over 1k on this treatment products for me to have those models' skins. Not that I need to attract men's attention anymore la, right? I have one beside me already, spare the rest for those who need them loh.
I can almost here her sobbing when I left her with the departing words "I'll go home and think about it, ok?"
Then while still hanging around some more, I saw some promotion booth on whole body perfect care, something like that la. KPC, stopped and looked at those materials, you bet one of those girls hurriedly scurrying to my side to explain all about their special promotions.
Studying their promotion flyers, I asked her almost every service or products listed in there. Most interesting was their "Breast Management Program". Manage your breasts woh... terror, huh?
She explained it's a technique to make our breasts firmer, by applying their special cream and the method of massaging. I asked innocently, so that means I need to take off everything for your staff to massage ah?
She smiled and said of course, aiyah, all girls, no need to be shy la. I said "no la, shy la, nanti there's a hidden cam and suddenly my face and boobs all over youtube, then how?" Of course, she guarantee that won't happen.
Trying to convince me further, she said she herself and all others go through the same process before as well, I don't need to worry. I asked is the person massaging me a girl? Of course, she said. I replied, "aiyah, no fun like that. If guys, I might consider la." By then, I know I should cabut and run far far already, quit fooling around.
Jeez.. this time my back would surely kena big time. All the niamahs and foul words will be hurled at me (behind my back) and even sending me to hell, I think.
Am I good in breaking girls' hearts? Sorry la, my dears. When times get better, I'll come and drop by, let you swipe my card all you want, k?

KL Bird Park, Taman Burung KL
Please put your hand up if you had not been to KL Bird Park. OK, you may put your hand down now. Shame on you! (if you are a Malaysian la)

Funny why many Malaysians don't feel like pong-chan their own homeland's tourist spots, but when they go to Sinjiapoh or overseas countries, they pay lots of money to visit their parks. Well, perhaps mainly Chinese think likewise, I observe many other races still flock to parks and local tourists spots. Chinese prefer to walk around in shopping malls, no sweat, cool and free aircon, better like that.
KL Bird Park is claimed to be one of the largest bird park in the world, I think. Surprisingly, when I enter, I find the environment really pleasing to the eye and mood was up a notch higher.

We went in at around 3pm, and better still, the weather was really perfect. It was a bit cloudy and cool. Without the rowdy crowd, with the vast and safe area for children to run around, many trees to block the heat, and rhythms of the gushing water in the many waterfalls there, it's really quite a good place for families to visit, and a place to hold hands, walk around aimlessly, enjoy the company of your girlfriend or boyfriend.
I suppose it could be a good place to take wedding pictures too. Sorry la, if suddenly a bird decides to bless you with some of its precious droppings on your head or your wedding gown.

Waterfalls are all over the place *strip and jump in now... woo hoo!*
There was a bird show at 3.30pm, it was just perfect timing. Nevertheless, the bird show was about mediocre, good enough for the children, rather boring for the adults, I think. They should be showing some birds love making scenes to cater to this category of audience, right? Aiseh, what's the fun in seeing birds saying hello, or cycling, or throwing rubbish.. sien.
These flamingos had little A amazed. I suppose he thought it was really brilliant to be standing only on one foot when I told him about that. Or poor thing, can he be thinking what happened to its other foot, somebody cut it off? Can't underestimate a child's mind, they learned a lot while seeing with their own eyes. I think that's why I rather take them to these places than to shopping malls where I just stress myself out keeping an eye on them. Over here, I felt very relaxed and happy.
There was a nursery, and oh, these little ducklings are so... cute. They look much more adorable than their counterparts. Many little chicks were running and chirping in the little cage, while being molested by these visitors.
That's this incubation with eggs and little chicks just being hatched. Ohh... isn't that really kewt?
So do you still want to eat eggs again?? I'm an all time egg favorite, so yeah, I'm still eating eggs. Had 3 today cooked in barley drink. I'm not a bird lover, chicken is my favorite meat too, by the way. You can still say I love birds, since I love to eat the chickens, eh?
These boys and girls really enjoyed themselves feeding the parrots. With RM2, you get a banana and a cup of milk to feed them. It was really quite fun. I was having fun clicking away with my camera as well.
For an instant, hubby holding the banana had 3 birds on him, 2 on his head.. haha.. he sure hoped it didn't shit on him.
Such lovely colors on its feathers.
OH, by the way, make sure you bring your MyKad, you have to show it to get the lower ticket fare. Only fair la, right? You go main main overseas countries, you pay higher fee while their locals get discount. Now, you can enjoy your privilege here too. So, why wait, go and main main in our own bolehland as well.

I think I haven't seen a real peacock in full "bloom" like this before. It sure got me excited and it was so..... beautiful. Many people were ogling and staring hard at her.

"See what see? Haven't seen a naked ostrich before meh? I come and bite you if you don't stop staring oi!"

Priorities, priorities...
Gosh! I became so inefficient these days. Thousand of one to-do stuffs and important plus urgent, and what did I do? Early of the day's work, I'll tell myself "Never mind la, see what this blogger has what to say first la, won't do any harm spending a little 10 mins reading up, warming up, switching low gear to high gear...
Then suddenly "Eh, what? Lunch time already ah?" Goodness!
After lunch, *y-a-w-n* a filled stomach usually make me so sleepy. So, what do I do? Open my eyes up a bit by browsing around some more blogs... yeah, it does open alright, but but... oh no! by the time I'm almost finished digesting all the useful information I find on blogs, it's evening already?? *slaps forehead*
So, this is how Iwaste live my days away, I'm really should be setting priorities straight. My hubby will be dumping me when he knows I'm doing unproductive stuffs like these. Perhaps I should be more productive, like getting myself pregnant, hoh?
And thus, when I'm having a 4th one, it's all YOUR fault!! (humans just love to blame and justify, I'm only human)
10-you. Have a nice day!

One of those Fridays.
It's the 2nd failed attempt to watch the current blockbuster movie "Indiana Jones 4" last Friday. I guess, those babies born from 60's to 80's might have more interest to watch IJ, as these the eras where Indy rocks!
Anyway, back to this failed attempt, when we arrived at the cineplex much too late, what we saw was also a mile long Q to the ticket counters. That was already enough to stir us away.
So, never mind, we thought, there's always another one fine day.
We went down on the escalator, and being a bit hiao, I just put my head on my hubby's shoulder, arm around his. Then, suddenly, we heard a voice from behind, almost yelling "EXCUSE ME!!". Almost jumped out from our skin, we turned round and thought this bitch wanted to pass, but she shook her head and said no. What the...
When is it that the woman's head resting on hubby's shoulder while on the escalator had became obscene? Or is this woman purely jealous she has no man's shoulder to let her put her head on? Or she thought old couple like us should be pulling each other's hair and not acting lovey dovey in public like that? Really made me amused and pissed at the same time.
Anywayz..
We went home like good papa and mommy, after being nagged by my eldest son on why we come home so late, so very often go shopping or pak-tohing without them.
Later during the night, hubby kept pestering me to watch DVD with him. I was very tired, to say the least. Usually I would fall asleep halfway, and most of the movies of DVDs we have at home, I knew the beginning but no ending. But still, I would accompany him, as it's Friday, Fridays somehow have the magic to get people in the mood for a little bit of fun.
But this time round, it was very different. He put on "I AM LEGEND". I heard this movie a long time ago, strongly recommended. But I did not know what the story was about, only knew it was one pathetic solo man throughout.
The beginning was rather boring, I was nearly falling asleep there. However, it was getting interesting as the plot slowly unfold. Answers beginning to reveal, why he needs to close all his doors and windows heavily at night if he were the only survivor on earth...
Only thing I still can't figure out there, will there still be electricity and water supply if he's the only human alive on earth? well...
Surprisingly, there were really some touching moments in the show. Like the part where his sole company died, oh dear.. I am not any dog lover, but oh no, my heart ached so much at that scene where he hugged his dog to her death. Then, of course, the butterfly image which reminded him of his daughter.
Those who haven't watch it, surely you confused already what I'm talking about. But, really, go and do so. It's really a good one. I was wide awake till the end of the show, and at night, I was still trembling from the thriller and images of those ugly "stuffs" haunting me. So, I manja manja asked my hubby to hug me to sleep, and must be tight tight one. Ahh... good hoh?

So, I manja manja asked my hubby to hug me to sleep, and must be tight tight one. Ahh... good hoh?

(When is he coming up with a new motto? So sien to hear the same message over and over again, huh?)
So, everyone, here's the new lifetsyle we all should be considering, to adjust to the new price in fuel.

Have you heard about the secret?
Last weekend, we bought the DVD from MPH "The Secret"....

The DVD can be only be taken from the counter, under high surveillance, and it costs RM149.90!!
She told us this wasn't even available for sale before, can only be ordered through its website here. Only much recently, MPH has managed to succeed in applying for it through Kementerian something something (I think!) and selling it, even that with limited copies!
We are now watching it every night and absorbing the secrets...

Cave Tempurung, Perak
Have you heard or watched the movie "Cave"? That was a story about 4 adventurous, death-defying women who seek for thrills exploring difficult caves. Very, very difficult caves. Watching it gives me the creeps, dungeons, pitch darkness, mutated humans, it wasn't really a fun watch, but some might think it can be kinda entertaining.
Now, what has it got to do with Cave Tempurung, huh? Basically, nothing.
Might be informative to know about this..
"Gua Tempurung stretches 1.9km, is the largest and magnificient limestones cave in SM. Made up of 5 huge domes, each of them has different formations of stalagmites and stalactites made from different temperatures, water level, content of limestones, and marble. Concealed within this limestone massive is an intricate system of caves honeycombed inside the limestone hills.
These caves are actually breathtaking gallery of stalagmites and stalactites and other amazing rock formations which super geological wonders found only in this part of the world."
I knew of this "wonder of Perak" (some say could be Malaysia too), a long time ago, since I hail from the nearby city, but never really been there before. The closest I had been was passing the great waterfall on the way back to Ipoh from KL, which you can spot from the PLUS highway. That waterfall looks kind of majestic, especially after a heavy rain. But never explored nearby.
Then, one year ago, to be precise, She made me realized what I have missed. How embarrassing. Ipoh mali pulak.
So, I said to myself and to hubby that we take the children there one fine day, ok? He agreed.
And it took 1+ year that we kept our promise. That's because we are so bankrupt now we have no cash to go overseas. Holidays come, we balik kampung, visit the wonders of Malaysia, sounds not too bad, yeah?
Look at the serenity of the environment around the lake. It is really beautiful. Err, not the one below I meant, browse up, the pics above I'm talking about.
When we arrived, we were surprised that the place was packed! Mostly students, girls and boys in their teenage years. Oh, that made me really felt old. How we used to go around places with boys when at their age.
Everyone of them was drenched, from top to toe. Some of the members in our entourage were worried sick, they kept saying, "look at them, wet la, how to go with children, and it's raining, nanti where we find dry clothes to change..."
I was thinking, "Eh, cave woh.. even if it's raining outside, inside also rain meh?"
Well, some of them, remembering how they wade in the water to explore the cave decades ago, probably meant the stream water level will rise from the rain. I do not know how dangerous the this trip was, but trusting my friend's words, she couldn't be pointing a danger zone for me, as she had been there with her little boys too and gave very good reviews.
So, we went to ask the woman behind the counter and the guide. The friendly guide happily told us not to worry, it's as safe as Afghanistan, and we won't get wet, not until we go for tour package 3 and 4.
No wonder la, we see all the teenage girls and boys there splashing around in the river like that, how not to get wet from top to toe?
There are 4 package tours, 1 being the shortest route, just go in and out of the big dome (Imagine you are eating banana and you were only tasting it at the tip, the banana sure don't feel shiok la, right? Hehe.. what a good analogy! I have a better analogy, but that would be kinda x-rated, and I have a good reputation to keep here, so I better put up the banana story. I know you can imagine the other one yourself.)
The 2nd package is the "Top of the World" tour, whereby there would be 600 steps to and 600 steps back. It'll be an all-dry entourage. The following tour 3 and 4 are categorized "Dry and Wet" for the more adventurous types of people.
No doubt, we went for Top of the World, together with a few other families with similarly young children like ours. It was a guided tour, the same friendly guy who told us that it's very safe.
Time to enter, and I was eager to see for myself what the cave is going to be like.
Safe pathway like in the picture from the beginning till the stop point. Some of the paths are in steps, ascending and descending steeply. I was only more worried for the children, but fortunate for me, the auntie and her daughters who joined us were very helpful in taking care of them.
Meanwhile, I could enjoy a bit more myself looking around more, and taking pictures on the way too. Later I realized I myself was feeling my legs and knees wobbling when climbing up and down the steepness pathway. No easy feat that would be if I would be to hold my kids in both my hands. Glad we invited our guests along.
Light still coming in from the entrance. About the only place where the light would be shining in. It would be total "eclipse" if not for the lamps and lights the gomen put in to develop that place into a tourist spot.
It was really a spectacular sight. My camera wasn't doing it justice enough.
If not for the whole gang was so far in front and I was afraid to be the only one left behind, I quickly took a few shots, admired for a few more glances and quickly moved on to join them before I was suddenly alone by myself.
The guide has a lot of stories to tell. He will point to some sections of the cave hovering above our heads and say this part looks like a monster, a car, a pregnant woman, an old man, hantu and the secret hiding place of Communists last time.
The cave does really look like a huge dome inside, with amazing structures. It was said that most of it was made from thousand of years from the movement of the air inside the whole cave.
Someone in our group was complaining non-stop about the stillness and stuffiness inside, particularly when panting for breath walking up the staircase. I wonder other than me, if there are anyone else thinking inside she should just U-turn and go back to the starting point?
Then, surprisingly out of nowhere, there was a spot where it was like an air-con was blasting in full! It was amazing. The guide explained about something the hot air from outside, pushing the air inside, the cool air then don't know how pushed to small and tiny holes, then retracted and pushed back out in force... OK, I don't really get the idea, maybe they hid an aircon somewhere la.. try to con us only.
That was almost to the End point for us, what a relief when all of us heard it. haha.. The guide told us tour package 3 and 4 would continue and descend down from that point until they touch the stream which runs in the cave. And some canoeing and boating would be in store for us if we had taken that route. How exciting! Ok, we come back next time and we'll be more prepared for that adventure, can? Yeah, so, we shall take a short break and U-turn to go back to where we started.
The children were totally worn out from the whole exercise of walking and climbing. Not only ours, the rest of them in the group was worse. One of them was carried by her superduper daddy and she was sleeping soundly on his shoulder, what a big-hearted dad that was.
Lucky for us, I had, thank God, put some sweets inside my bag the day before and let them have one each. That was really a source of energy for them. That's the good thing about sweets when you don't use it too often on them. It was like precious stones to them and they will do anything to get their hands on it.
The return journey always seem to be shorter and easier, no matter what trips I am talking about. Do you feel the same?

And we quickly hurried back home to solve our hunger pangs. It was 4+ and we only had breakfast so far. Mealtimes were turned topsy turvy for that day, by dinner time, we were still full, the children were exhausted, so we let them have something light, tuck them to bed, and we later went to have supper in Lou Wong that night with my dad. It was a great day indeed!
