All in school... hurray!

My little girl started school this week, for a week trial first. She's so excited putting on her uniform beaming from ear to ear. And she has this knack of trying to look cool when we catch her smiling happily to herself. Just little things like this brings a smile to our faces and just wish she wouldn't grow up too fast yet, let me enjoy this adorable her for a little while longer.

I told her she would need to pass the probation week's "test" first before she is confirmed to be going off to school every morning together with 2-ko.

And what are the tests requirements?

1. She needs to finish her water in her tumbler everyday.
2. She can't cry
3. She has to listen to teacher and follow what teacher tells her to do.
4. She has to make friends with the rest in her class.

The first day when I picked her up, she failed the first point. Almost the water in her tumbler was untouched! Uh oh.. ko-ko was worried, he wanted her to go to school. I asked him why, he says he wants her to be "smarter". Wonder what that means?

Today, what a huge difference. Not a drop of water left! I think she's adamant to pass this week's test... haha.

when they are too happy playing and enjoying themselves they tend to forget to drink. I have to remind the teacher to remind my daughter to drink in school!!

Yeah, it's common to hear children not drinking water enough. At home, we have to remind and threaten them to drink cups of water.

So, I'm not surprised she didn't touch it on the first day. But very amazing she remembered to drink and finished all of it on the 2nd day. :)

Hope she won't start to cry at the 2nd week onwards. Normally, the new student will start to cry when they about to know what school life is all about.

Good girl, your daughter, she's a fast learner! But know what you mean, our kids grow up too fast too soon... sometimes too quickly for us to savour those precious moments!

My big boy still comes home with half a bottle of water. Hmm... maybe I should give him a probabtion too?! ;p

Normally, the mummy will always be more anxious when the kids start school. Relax a bit, she'll be fine after some time. No need to give too much pressure else she may not enjoy school.

My Friday favorite time of the week

Long ago, I used to look forward to every Friday 5.30pm. I would rush to prepare dinner and settle all that was needed to be done before 4....
