I wonder how many of the KL folks here really know where this place is.
It's just right beside the Mahameru highway, which links Seremban Highway to Jalan Duta (I think). Going in seems to be the bit tricky part. Its entrance/ exit points are located somewhere near the old Parliament building and around the railway station. I will be stressing my brain cells trying to explain where exactly they are, so please go figure!
What I'm trying so hard to say is, this place is really a gem of the gems. It's good for family get-togethers, couples to pak-tor, joggers to sweat it out, cyclists and skaters, dan lain lain..

During the weekends, it would be either the pool or this children's haven for us. I know the KLCC park boasts of a better environment than this, but hey, over here, parking is FREE, okay?

Not only this, the management runs a little "buggy ride" sort (what's that thing called, can someone please tell me?) which trails almost the whole park, introducing the various interesting sites there, like Bird Park, Deers Park, Orchid Park,
Planetarium, among others.
It's dirt cheap to take a windy ride on that "thing", 50 cents for adults and 20 cents for children. Why, isn't that so much better than to put 2x50 cents on those silly rides which only rocks to and fro at one blardy place?

When I passed by this field (above), I would always visualize having a picnic there with a bunch of good buddies and dozens of all our children running around. The activities would be like..
1. fly kite la..
2. play football la..
3. play badminton la...
4. plsy frisbies la...
5. play kong-kwan la..
6. play catch la..
7. and eat and gossip and laugh...
Oh... what a wonderfully fun time that would be...

The children would have a good whale of a time too exploring these magical playgrounds. Why pay so much at MegaKidz when you can get almost the same thing here for free?

It looks exciting not only for the children, but for adults too (I think) because when I see the place, I feel like a kid again too. EVERY SINGLE TIME.

But it could be a bit tiring to chase after them as they could go on and on and on, without feeling exhausted, don't know why. We have to lift them off the ground to get them to the car, while they struggle so hard to break free and dash back to the playground. But so far so good, no untoward scenes were created in those events.

Last Sunday, I was there for a different reason though. And with different company. I had JM to accompany me early in the morning for this run.

As anticipated, parking were chaotic, and people from all walks of life came to support this event. It's nice to see babies and children participating too.

Before it started, there was some warming up sessions with fitness instructors which was quite entertaining. Then, there was this competition to hear who cheered the loudest from the crowd.

And out of the sudden, I saw a familiar face. I couldn't be sure if it was him, as I wasn't quite expecting, err..., this horizontal measurement of his stats, but when he got closer, it became quite obvious yes, it's him alright.

Hi,
Kenny! Wanted to say hi to him, but he seemed pretty occupied walking around, taking pictures, carrying his professional blogger role so well. JM thought I'm a great fan of him, so to set it straight here, yes, I like his blog a lot, but Chilam still remains my no.1 idol, ok? (JM, you have no idea what I'm going to do if I do see Chilam in person! Hahaha)

We joined the whole entourage for half the run, cutting it short halfway through, and what did I get from the hard day's work? Pain knees and legs.
Go and make use of the Lake Gardens well, hope to see you there sometime.
